Regarding medical care provided, we claim medical expenses based on point system enforced by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
Regardless of whether a patient has national health insurance or not, points are calculated as follows:
1 point = 10 Yen
(except in cases of traffic accidents, industrial accidents and violent incidents)
Patients will be asked to pay 100% of the medical expense if national health insurance card is not presented. We may apply the insurance at a later date if you bring your national health insurance card, identification card with photograph (resident card, passport, driver’s license, etc.), and the corresponding receipt to the reception of the department, during open hours, within the same month you received your medical care.
Cash, credit cards and debit cards are accepted.
Japanese yen only. Foreign currency is not accepted.
Foreign currency exchange is not available within the hospital.
Receipts are important in order to apply for payment of Eligibility Certificate for Ceiling – Amount Application, Income Tax Medical Cost Deduction, and other public assistance applications. Please do not lose the receipts. We do not reissue them.
