Regarding medical care provided, we claim medical expenses based on point system enforced by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
Health insurance coverage applies to patients who present a health insurance card (including the My Number health insurance card).
*If you are unable to present a health insurance card, you will be responsible for the full medical cost.
If you have overseas travel insurance, you must pay the full amount at the hospital first and file a claim with your insurance company by yourself.
*This does not apply if you or your insurance company have submitted a letter of guarantee of payment to the hospital in advance (or, for hospitalized patients, if the letter of guarantee of payment has been received by the time of discharge).
Cash, credit cards and debit cards are accepted.
Japanese yen only. Foreign currency is not accepted.
Foreign currency exchange is not available within the hospital.

Receipts are important in order to apply for payment of Eligibility Certificate for Ceiling – Amount Application, Income Tax Medical Cost Deduction, and other public assistance applications. Please do not lose the receipts. We do not reissue them.
