Regarding the recommendation of external prescriptions

In order to promote the appropriate use of pharmaceuticals, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare recommends the separation of the prescribing and dispensing functions. In our hospital, we also issue external prescriptions to patients undergoing outpatient consultations as a general rule.

Due to this, we ask that patients fill their prescriptions at an external pharmacy rather than within the hospital.

• You can fill it at any pharmacy.
• You can use a fax service to reduce the waiting time for your medication.
• By going to your regular pharmacy, information regarding medications prescribed by multiple medical institutions is managed by your pharmacy, allowing it to check for any duplicate medications and problematic combinations of medications.
• You can discuss your medications.
• You may choose generic alternatives.
  (Note) External prescriptions issued by our hospital are valid for four days including the date of issue. Please note that once the expiration date has passed, the prescription becomes invalid.
