Outsourcing the Collection of Unpaid Medical Expenses

Out of fairness to patients who pay their medical expenses appropriately and to ensure the sound financial management of the hospital, we have outsourced the collection of medical expenses that prove difficult to collect to the law firms stated below.

If you are unable to make a due payment despite repeated requests from the hospital, one of the following law firms may contact you regarding payment.

Thank you for your understanding.

Debt collection agents

Edison Law Office

Address: Nishikicho Bldg. 4F, 1-8-11 Kanda Nishikicho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo
Representative Lawyer: Kazutaka Otatsu
※Transferred his practice from Tateno Law Office in August 2021

Taikou Law Office

Address: Ichigo Kudan Bldg. 4F, 2-38 Jinbocho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo
Representative Lawyer: Takehiko Kajiyama

Payment procedure after outsourcing

After payment collection is outsourced, the contracted law firm may provide you with payment-related information on behalf of the hospital. Since the contracted law firm will collect payment on behalf of the hospital, payments will generally be made to an account designated by the law firm.

If you do not respond to reminders from the law firm

Civil litigation through the court system

In accordance with the Code of Civil Procedure (Articles 382-396), we will seek a judicial resolution by executing a “summary civil procedure for the enforcement of payment” and filing a “petition for demand of payment” with the summary court where the debtor resides.
