Information on Ward Rooms

As ofDecember 1, 2024
Print this page
 On the back of a recent surge in prices, utility expenses and other costs, we will revise the rates for rooms designed for special recuperation environment (Rooms with extra facilities) as of December 1, 2024.

 For more details, please click here or see “List of Room Rates and Amenities.pdf”.
  • To promptly accommodate the highest number of patients needing advanced medical attention, we arrange the order of admissions and assign hospital rooms based on each patient’s individual health conditions and treatment progress.
    The length of your stay in the hospital will be proposed by your physician in principle.
  • Should your physician determine that you are ready to be discharged or need further care at a different facility, kindly follow his/her instructions. We will arrange a hospital transfer, given your preference. However, please understand that we may not be able to accommodate your request.
  • As an acute care hospital, we allocate inpatients to ward rooms/beds by comprehensively taking into consideration each patient’s room type preference, medical conditions, and necessary treatments. Therefore, we may not meet your requests or ask you to change rooms even after admission.
  • In accordance with the Japanese Health Insurance Act, the total room charge is calculated based on the number of days inclusive of the day of admission and the day of discharge, regardless of the time that you are admitted and/or discharged. For instance, if you stay overnight, the room rate would be charged for 2 days. Moreover, even if you stay overnight away from hospital (with permission) during the hospitalization period, you would also have to pay the room charge for these days. If you change your rooms, a higher rate of either of the rooms would be applied on the day of the change, i.e., the room charge for the following 3 cases would be 13,200 yen on the day when you move.

   Example: Case 1) From a corridor-side 4-bedded shared room to a private room (13,200 yen);
        Case 2) from a private room (13,200 yen) to a corridor-side 4-bedded shared room;
        Case 3) from a private room (9,900 yen) to another type of a private room (13,200 yen).

  • Since the room charges are not covered by Japanese health insurance, you would have to pay on your own.
